Huntington Paranormal Investigations & Research is located in Huntington, West Virginia and was founded in the summer of 2006. Our purpose is to help people better understand unexplained phenomena.
We of course can not give answers to the things in this world that are beyond human understanding, but we can provide common sense combined with practical knowledge with our investigations.
We hope to educate those who want to learn about paranormal ideas, investigations and related topics. We also wish to provide honest and up front information about what knowledge we do have. We feel quality information and evidence is much more important than quantity. We hope that through the investigation of paranormal claims that we may come closer to finding answers to the unknown.
Huntington Paranormal Investigations & Research was founded in the summer of 2006 based on a long time interest and curiosity of ghosts and paranormal phenomena that had intrigued me for years. After a personal experience I decided to find others who shared my interests and from that Huntington Paranormal was born.
We have endured many changes over the past several years and I am very proud of what our group has grown into. The group of individuals that make up HPIR are close like family, and that has resulted in a core group of people who not only work well together but it also keeps our group moving forward. We are a group of paranormal enthusiasts who are on a mission to find proof that paranormal phenomena is a tangible claim.
We hope to help people understand things that frighten them. We of course can not give answers to the things in this world that are beyond human knowledge, but we can provide common sense combined with practical knowledge in the area of science and the supernatural.

Our mission does not simply stop at paranormal investigations. Our team is unique as our sense of purpose is driven much deeper than just being ghost hunters. Our passion for history also is an integral aspect of our team. Through historic research we are bridging the past with the present and often bringing little known and often untold stories to light. As our saying goes, Sharing Huntington’s History, One Ghost Story at a Time, is exactly how we are doing our part to keep history alive. Through our website, blog, social media and our ghost tours we are sharing these amazing ghost stories and historic facts with you. There is a lot of hard work, research and passion that go into each and every location we investigate. We are lucky to live in a region that is so rich in history and folklore.
Our dedication extends into our community as well. We make an effort to be involved with various organizations and events within our local region. We have been involved with charitable organizations and events such as Team Toni. We have done a number of public and private speaking engagements at Marshall University, our Libraries and even to local school-aged children. Our group has attended the Mothman Festival and History Day at the State Capitol. We try to participate in a number of events each year and we always enjoy meeting and talking to people who have an interest in both history and the paranormal.
Each of us has a purpose and desire to be involved in the paranormal field and though this group we feel that we can stand up and do something positive for our community. We are in this field not for fame or fortune, but because this is our passion.
